Oklahoma World War II Stories*

PBS, OETA and NewsOK.com

THE WAR, a seven-part series directed and produced by Ken Burns, tells the story of the Second World War through the personal accounts of men and women from four American towns.

With the combined resources of Oklahoma’s PBS station, NewsOK designed and developed a Web site that preserves Oklahoma’s account of World War II. This site is used to collect and accept videos, audio recordings, original photos and letters from the “Greatest Generation” of our time.
